  • Box Braid Question (8 Months Post Relaxer)

Hey Ladies! Im 8 months post relaxer and Im going to be getting box braids for the first time since i've started my transition. My question is do I have to straighten my hair before I get my braids done or is blow drying good enough. When I blow dry my hair I still have a whole lot of texture and you can clearly see and feel where the natural hair is. You can see my little fro lol with the straight relaxed ends at the bottom. So can I leave it just blow dried or should I straighten??

Hey I would say blow dry is enough I'm 8 months transition also, I use box braids and twists as my protective styling I think I've blow dried my hair twice I usually air dry my hair flat and that's good enough for the hair dresser to braid my hair, hope that helps

Blow drying it is enough hun. I have some now and i am about 7 months post and before i got mine, i didnt blowdry my hair or anything. Just make sure you keep them washed and moisturized
