Hello All, I'm a 17 year old who is going off to college in a few months. I've been transitioning since January 2014. I'm beginning to love my experience as I'm seeing incredible changes in my hair. As I've gotten perms in my hair since I was about 3 years old, I've never seen my own hair so beautiful and healthy. It's empowering to see what I've made of it. However, there's one thing keeping me from completely throwing myself into it: my edges. Even as I've been transitioning, I've been relaxing my edges. Without it, they look horrid. I don't know what to do. I've tried every video on YouTube but the advice comes from girls who have been natural since forever & have nice, curly edges. Mine are brittle, straight, and really tangle-prone until I perm them. Any thoughts? Suggestions? Am I alone in this?
