  • Protective Styles Roll Call

Alright ladies, don't get me wrong I love my twist outs to the ends of the earth and back but sometimes you want to put it up and away. Right now I'm wearing one of my most recent attempts at mini twists which single strand knots are starting to happen. I've searched the web far and wide for some easy protective styles besides a bun to no avail.

Hi. I put my hair in twists after each wash and just roll and tuck the twists. I do different ways every day, and then lightly spritz the hair (if I haven't already before rolling) and cover firmly with a scarf. My hair dries without hairs popping up within 30-60 minutes and it looks shiny. I can also bun the twists if I want. You can try looking up some styles by Kimmaytube or play with your hair by rolling, tucking, updos, whatever you like. Twists can be used or several updo styles almost like loose hair. The best part is that with it still in twists, you will also have a low manipulation style.

How about changing up the bun a bit? I think double buns look nice and hair bows are cute.

Her name on the forum is sawah and she does a nice double bun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3N30bZ1P-S4

Found one for a hair bow bun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfwB1FEKM8c
