Products worked for you & bought ?

I wouldn't consider myself a " product junky " I had no products AT ALL! I did my research & bought common products purchased. I want to try raw shea butter & mix it with other things for a moisturizer, could transitioners use shea butter in their hair ? Sounds stupid to ask but I'm a beginner & want to find out all info. Needed list below products I bought & worked for me!

    TRESemmé - natural
    Apple cider vinegar
    Organic refined coconut oil
    Jamaican black castor oil
    Extra virgin olive oil
Cantu shea butter Leave in conditioner
    Honey

I don't find my shea butter to be a moisturizer, but I do think it works well (I mix with oils) as a sealer. Since I spritz with water daily when using my shea butter mix, I think it is fine or it could be used with a water based moisturizer. But I don't think it should be used as a moisturizer since there is no water base to it. Just my opinion.

I have been transitioning about 11months and i just bought my first container of raw Shea butter (by choice) but I think anyone can use it even a relaxed individual ... I don't think there is any real rules or regulations on taking care of your hair long as your hair agrees with it and its not damaging it . Go for it. Everyone is differnt Good luck on your hair journey !

Butters are usually intended to act as a sealant on your hair to keep moisture in. A good method to try is L.O.C. Leave in conditioner, oil, cream/styler/butter. I whip my shea butter in my mixer & add oils so it can be applied easily to my hair. Shea butter is also very heavy to my hair so whipping it allows me to use less.

Congrats on your transitioning journey , & welcome to the forum! There is a wealth of information here on the forum so be sure to do a search on Shea butter to find out how others are using it.
