  • Lets Chat...All Things HAIR!!!

How do you all take care of your hair?? I'm looking for tips and ideas to revise my regimen. I have type 4a/b apl hair and currently I only shampoo maybe once a month with Pantene relaxed & natural and I CoWash maybe twice a week (whenever my hair is out) with suave green apple conditioner. I also take a hair skin & nail vitamins - has anyone tried MSM I'm thinking of trying it? Any advice on products would be great! Thanks

I treat my hair as if it is already damaged. By doin this I never had to do protein treatments nd all dat jazz ans I keep it VERY simple. Shampoo, dc, conditioner, leave in, moisturizer, oil, and scalp oil that's it. HTH

How long have you been natural and what products (dc, leave in, & oil) do you use?

I'm transitioning right now but I treat my hair like my gma did when she was doin it (when it was 25 inches long and thick as 2 heads of hair)

Shampoo and conditioner: herbal essences honey I'm strong

DC : creme of nature argan oil treatment

Leave In : profective mega growth leave In

Scalp oil : wild growth hair oil

Moisturize & seal : creme of nature argan oil oil treatment and oil moisturizer

Your grandma had a lot of hair! my hair loves my Pantene shampoo & conditioner but thanks for the ideas for the leave in and DC I've heard good things about creme of nature products. I think I may use castor oil/evoo to moisturize and seal, I'm not sure yet.

I've been natural for 4 yrs and I have 4a/3c hair. I prepoo with a hair masque and oil mixture then I cleanse my hair 1-2 times per week with a natural shampoo bar and rinse out conditioner. I use JBCO, grapeseed, and jojoba oils mixed with conditioner and aloe vera juice. I use a daily leave-in spray and natural souffle as stylers/moisturizers when it is curly. When I flat iron it I use oil and hair butter to keep it moisturized.
