  • Lupus Hair

I was just diagnosed with Lupus last year. I had a couple flares that caused me to go completely bald in probably 65% of my head. Since then, I've been taking medication and my hair has been growing back (Yayyy). The down side is that I have long pieces of hair that have not fallen out and short pieces that are growing in, so my styling is very limited. The hair that is growing in is fine and mostly straight. My friends say that it is good because it will be easier to straighten/train my hair. However, I like wearing my hair in styles that look natural and curly. I'm not sure if this will ever work now that my new hair looks completely different than the rest of my hair. Has anyone ever experienced this? If so, how are you doing now and what ideas have you come up with during the time of transition?
