        • oK SO..I just finished my FIRST crochect project.. It was a hat, my hat doesn't look like the video I was learning from but I love it nonetheless.

          I am super pumped for my next project...

          I want to make some toddler leg warmers..Can anyone suggest where is can get a free EASY pattern or a video tutorial.
          I needed to be who I was, so that I can be who I am today..

            I have these on the list to try. What pattern did you use?

                Oh for newbies to crochet, I just realized you can go on Google books and search for crochet books. A lot of the newer publications are on there, and you can get a decent preview of many of them. Out of print and antique pattern books are also available on Google books if you feel like taking on the challenge of trying to understand them.

                • So far the hardest thing about crochet projects for me is finding the right yarn. I've restarted so many projects just because the yarn is the wrong color or its bulky or i have to use a different hook.

                    I looove this top.. so cute.

                    NYHoneyDip, I hear ya..sometimes that's the hardest part of making a project. The more I crochet the more I see that you might have to start a project over more than once because the yarn just isn't right for it.

                    One thing I'm going to do is get several hooks in my most commonly used sizes (5, 5.5, 6, & 6.5 mm) so that I can do multiple projects at the same time.

                    • Since its getting very cold here I decided to make a hat for myself. I purchased a pattern on Etsy for this fly vintage cloche hat and finished it last night. Problem is its a little too big for my small head . I still need to do the flower but here it is;

                          I have that pattern saved on my ravery account. It is so cute. She also had a hat that was tied on one side but she took it off etsy.
