Congrats! 17 months is still a good amount of time. It took me a while to get braidouts to come out good too when I BCed at first..they definitely take some experimenting. Good luck!

i plan on transitioning until my edges grow back. i had a baby 4 months ago, and my hair fell out pretty bad around that area. so i straighten my hair and put it behind my ears to hide it. but its growing in fast. 2 months ago it was just scalp there now its lots of fuzz. lol. My hair stylist cut my hair two weeks ago right below my ears. so the back of my hair is nothing but curls, but the top half has about 2 inches of perm left. i cant wait until my hair grows back though - so i can stop flat ironing. going natural was never my intention but i didnt want to get a relaxer while i was pregnant. but now i wish i would have stopped the relaxers years ago!
