So right now I'm 14 weeks post relaxer and I'm hoping to transition my hair to natural for 9 months then big chop. However, the main reason I'm transitioning is because my hair is so tangled/brittle/split and I've spent hours and so much conditioner trying to detangle it and nothing works. I'm currently apl. It kinda looks like tiny dreads all over the place if you look really up close and start feeling around. My question is is it possible to transition to natural hair for nine months without thouroughly detangling since I can't really detangle the hair I currently have properly. Note: I have noticed that my new growth isn't tangling, so that makes me happy.

Simple answer no you wont have any hair left!! Once you get several inches of new growth you will have to detangle, properly.

No ur hair will be breaking off something terrible. U are just gonna have to section ur hair ad take ur time and detangle with an extra slippy conditioner And wide tooth comb or paddle brush.
