I scrunched for a wash and go this weekend for the first time in months since I chopped last summer. Used hello hydration conditioner under eco styler Krystal gel and liked the look. my hair doesn't hold defined curls without scrunching or a gel

My curls last till the next wash which I do once a week. If I need moisture though, I will Spritz,my hair with water in tge morning and scrunch in more leave in, and thats it!

Scrunching is when you hold the ends of the hair in a cupped hand and push it upward to the roots of your hair and squeeze the hair once it's cupped all the way to the roots. Normally looser textures use this technique to make their hair have more of a curl/wave.
Example of scrunching
1:13 She is scrunching the gel into her hair. 4:28 she is scrunching her hair with a towel to dry it.


I don't scrunch my hair, but I'm curious about doing it. I might try it once. I wish I would've tried it when I was fully relaxed.

I scrunch my hair because shingling takes too much work and my curls look the same with either method

Scrunching is just putting product in your hands and squeezing it into your hair, taking the ends by the handful and squeezing them to,the roots to create more defined curls. I hope that makes sense lol
