Just wanted to see how everyone is doing in their transition. I never get to have conversations with transitioning ladies!

I just started mine but I'm feeling great about my decision. I'm still researching on what and what not to do but I'm also trying to figure out some new things because I have a hard time finding information on transition without the bc

Hi Ladies! I'm 13 months into transitioning my hair and I'm loving it. I have to admit it has been overwhelming with the amount of information that's out there. I have decided to take it slow. I'm loving my natural hair. I'm finding out by trial and error what works for me. I flat ironed my hair last night but will probably go back to curls this weekend. Stay encourage ladies and enjoy the natural journey!

My transitiioning has actually gotten easier in this journey. I guess because i am learning my hair and getting my regimen together. Its been fun so far. I am 11 months post relaxer and plan to bc at 13 or 14 month point. As a treat to myself i am going to dye my relaxed ends a crazy color a month before i bc since i will be at college and dont have to worry about a job or damage to my hair
good luck and happy transitioning to all you ladies!Sent from my LS670 using CurlyNikki App |

I just hit the 1mo mark of my transition, so happy lol even though it's such a short period of time. I noticed I was shedding and having a lot of breakage which did scare me, but I was advised to get a protein treatment on another thread. But last night I pre-pood, co-washed and deep conditioned my hair so there was hardly anyS&B today which made me so happy.
But my question for you ladies is how often do you get protein treatments?? I know you're supposed to deep condition every week, do I will must def do that. I shall think that I week start on the protective styling in month two and just do non heat wraps for now. Sent from my SPH-D710 using CurlyNikki App |
