My reason was curiosity and hair issues. Now that I'm fully natural, I don't spend mad time worrying about my hair anymore, wish I would have done it ages ago.

I went back natural after being on YouTube looking for some cute quick styles for relaxed hair and I think I somehow came across someone who was natural. I really don't remember all I do remember is me saying I am about to go BACK to natural hair because I was tired of the straight bang and massive shedding coming off all on my shirt. Now this month I will b 2 years natural. And don't plan on goin back to relaxers

Months flew by and I realized I hadn't had a perm and I had a lot of growth. So I decided I'm gonna go longer in hopes for more length. I was about 9months natural when I discovered that straight (permed) hair is not all it's talked up to be and ultimately not really me.

I "accidentally" went natural. I never received regular relaxers, I probably got 1 relaxer per year. My addition was actually to heating tools. My hair started thinning in the front. I went online researching heatless hair styles and came across YouTube videos with all these beautiful ladies with amazing natural hair and I was hooked. October will be two years of me transitioning to be natural.

I got tired of my hair being so damaged. I was self conscious about taking pictures because I hardly ever liked my hair in them. It was so stiff that there was always a side or piece sticking up somewhere. I was so fed up with my hair that I stopped caring. I flat ironed every day with no protectant, never wrapped my hair, didn't moisturize properly, and I even shampooed and skipped the conditioner sometimes. One day I just thought there had to be a way to get my hair back looking the way it was when I was little and I realized all the damage, massive shedding and even headaches were due to relaxers and of course me not caring. I thought about maybe going natural but a girl with beautiful natural hair pushed me over the edge when she came to my job one day. I haven't looked back since and my hair is so healthy

I decided to go natural because my hair dresser kept telling me that my hair wasn't growing because I "wasn't taking care of it". but the reality was that I have been getting relaxers since I was like 9 or 10 and I'm 19 now. Going natural seems like the best choice to have healthy hair. Plus I'm a vegetarian.

initially did a BC two years ago and relaxed again 3months ago, I kept getting SSK and cutting the ends, after 4months of monthly trims and only 6inches in two years, I relaxed and miss my coils so much.....I'm back to transitioning.
I went natural in the first place because I wanted to be free of salons and didn't trust myself with chemicals....then I fell in love with my kinks.
