Morning ladies,

Nothing new on this end, besides the fact that I'm fighting off a cold that keeps trying to sneak up! I think it's from the non-stop running around this week! I have to keep it at bay for monday!

As far as hair goes, I oiled MM with EVOO again last night. It seems that my hair should be greasy or oily, but it's totally not. She soaks that oil right up, which makes me remember how dry my hair used to be when it was flat-ironed all the time. I had dry scalp like a mother back then! And because my hair was black I had to wash out dandruff every week, which means I straightened every week! What was I thinking!

Anyway MM & I are going to try to "not" break a sweat as I get my stretch and tone on this evening! Back when I danced, I would sweat like crazy, but my hair always had to be in a bun (per ballet standards hehe). Funny, though my roots were not too bad afterwards. I'd oil them and wrap my hair and wake up with flattened roots. This is what I will be going for!

Today I will be losing my IKEA virginity . I've actually never been, I know, sooooo late! I will let you guys know what I find!

I always see other people with the coolest furniture from Ikea but I've never been myself!! Or if I have ever set foot in Ikea, with my parents or what have you, I've never bought anything. So my Ikea virginity is still in tact hopefully you find some great stuff!

I fell in love when I looked online at their clothing organizers (I like clothing and shoes hehe). As wierd as it is, I hate dressers, so I want to keep my clothes in the closet and that's it! I hope I find some good stuff too! I will let you guys know!

Such a cute look Terra. I love the dress. I have a pair of peep toe shoes similar to those and my tootsies definitely don't feel good after wearing them.

Peep toes are never fun. They look awesome, but they're just for show. I only wear mine when I know I'm gonna be sitting for a while. And even then my pinky toe is yelling at me. Lol.

Hey Ladies!

Today was my first day at work, which would explain my late-ness! Nothing new with MM, she's still holding up curly/straight LOL. I will be braiding her for a braidout later this week! Tonight, I will pin curl her for the night. She got a little frizzy today, so hopefully the pin curls will flatten her a little. If not, oh well, I will not be introducing her to any more heat until 3 weeks from now when it is wedding hair time (my BFF wants us to have loose curls, which is good)! Talk to you all tomorrow! Off to prepare lunch for tomorrow!

Hola, Ladies!

I am home now, after days 1 & 2. Day 1 was sort of funny...Here are two of the conversations I had yesterday:
Conversation #1:
girl: Hey what unit are you on?
me: 6East, you?
girl: CTICU. Where did you work before?
me: in Michigan.
girl: You never worked here before?
me: Nope.
girl: How'd you pull that off?
me: staring at her like "is she serious?"

Conversation #2:
girl: Hi I'm ___. I'm going to be on the same unit with you.
me: Oh, hi. I'm Naterra.
girl: Yeah, you know the one girl didn't pass her boards, which is why they hired you
me: staring at her like "is she serious". I replied "Yeah, I felt bad for her too. But I do know that the boards show whether we are prepared or not.

Why, were people coming at me all awkward? LOL. I know God gave me favor, but dang! Anyway, today was great. I got a tour of the unit and my manager loves me, because the manager that did not hire me last time ran up to me screaming how happy she was, that I'm a part of the hospital. She kept saying "We're a family still, no hard feelings." I think she was secretly scheming out a way to steal me after the residency is over! LOL

Tomorrow we are having a potluck. I'm making pasta salad with black beans! It's always a hit and I always have a backup in case no one brings anything that I can eat! We also take pics tomorrow. I'm going to use the curlformers (I have a pack of six) for a portion of my hair that keeps going flat, and flexi rods for the rest. I will try to take a cute pic .

Wow, sound like some tension in the work place hopefully theyll lay off soon, and pasta salad sound delicious!
