oh yeah..she has hair like mine...my oldest daughter's hair is pretty thick but it's more wavy..and doesn't hold styles long..AT ALL! smh....it gets so frustrating trying to maintain 3 heads!!!

thanks Lynnie! I have no clue how long this will last..i kinda wanna jump start on the TWA phase like IB did..but we'll see...like i said, the softer this new growth gets, the more I wanna see "her" in all of "her" glory...sigh...why couldn't i just WAKE up to natural hair??!?!?!?!?!?! SOOOOOOOOOOO FRUST!!! (that would be FRUSTrating! i just shortened it up a taste!!)

Hey ladies!!! I know I said I was going to TRY and make it a year but ummmmmmmmm I'm thinking this BC may happen on Sunday...

i've been rocking a bun for the last 3 weeks with the exception of taking it down and washing it...i'm soooooooooooo freakin' nervous...in my mind, i think it will be cute but then i'm like, what if it doesn't curl like it needs to? what if it's all dry and ruff looking?!?!?!?!

I know i'm supposed to have some updates for you and everything but i've had a hard month..my foundation on my house is bad and we had to move into a rental. I bought my house in foreclosure so the bill is on us...$178,000 bucks! It's going to take about 8 to 12 months to fix...i just wanna throw rocks and bricks at it, i'm so mad!!!!! Work is stressful and the only relief i have is church and SLEEP!!!!!

anyway, BACK to this BC.....

I was wondering what happened to you since I hadn't seen any updates from you. You may experience some dryness right after you bc and your hair may not curl at first. This is where you will have to start using really moisturizing products and deep conditioning your hair. I transitioned for 7 months and my hair was really dry with very little curl pattern at first. Congrats on the upcoming BC!!

Don't panic! Everyone doesn't experience this. If you experience any dryness you just have to give your natural hair some TLC.

My husband has been BEGGING me to cut it..he's like, "I know you'll be fly! Just do it!!!" but i'm just nervous...i'm sure I'm not the only one who's experienced this feeling...I'll see what happens and how I'm feeling today..I really wanted to make it a year Neutral

If you are scared, then I say wait. But you have had plenty of practice on your daughters hair so I know you have styling options.

After you BC, you will experience some dryness....we all did. Deep condition weekly, baggy nightly and co wash often and you will be fine.

Hi mrsmackey,
If I remember correctly, we got our last relaxers around the same time. I wanted to wait a year, but I chopped at 6 months and I don't regret changing my mind. You will be surprised at how much you will able to do with your hair after you bc. I'm going to cosign with the others-the dryness is no joke, but it gets better as you condition it. It has been almost 2 months since my bc, and although I have had some frustrating moments, I'm loving the journey.

BTW-baggy method-dc overnight with a plastic cap.
