I'm about to stick my toe in the water and get a tablet. Every since I heard the rumors of a mini iPad I just knew I had to have one. Not I'm not so sure. I have an iPhone which I love. I have a Kindle 2. I'd love to hear your opinions. Thanks.

it all depends on what you want the tablet for. The iPad mini will do everything the regular iPad does without retina display.

the kindle fire HD will give you kindle with HD screen res and the ability to browse and download loads of apps as well.

Kindle is cheaper than the iPad mini. you should also consider connectivity with other devices... like your iPhone. Only if it matters to you.

I battled between the Nexus 7, iPad mini and Kindle fire HD. Eliminated kindle and then was waiting for the Google event which was going to launch the 3G (or 4G maybe) version of the Nexus 7... then #Sandy struck and the event got postponed.

so the iPad mini is winning for me right now.

I'd also suggest going into an electronic store and playing around with the products so you see which you are most comfortable with...
