You are only suppose to use your fingers or a wide tooth comb but they don't work for me either to make my hair feel fully detangled. I recently started back using my tangle wrangle AKA my bromb. Lol

You can always modify it and use a denman or wide tooth comb. I chunked my Denman because it pulled my hair out, splitting my ends.

I think it doesn't matter if you use a tool to detangle as long as you run water over it afterward to bring back any definition you may have lost.

I do a combo of both. I run a wide tooth comb through my hair while in the shower, paying close attention to my roots, I find that's the hardest to detangle with just my fingers. Then once out the shower, I use my fingers to style. Much much easier.

Has anyone spritzed their hair to seal it?
I do wash and gos with the LCO method, no gel. I rake in my moisturizer & then spritzed it with a water, jojoba, sweet almond, & castor oil mix so I wouldn't disturb my curls.
I was just wondering if you get the same benefit of sealing in moisture that way.

+1

I whipped out my wide tooth comb for the first time in a while last night. Gets my roots much better than my fingers.

I need some help yall. I want to make naptural 85' s shea butter mix. Is shea butter Cg friendly? Also the recipe calls for castor oil. There has Been lots of questioning if castor oil is Cg approved especially since its in some of the deva curl products. Any suggestions of a substitute or should I just use it? (the recipe has olive oil, castor oil, vitamin e oil, jojoba oil& coconut oil already in it).
TIA

Personally, I think it will be fine, you may have to cowash twice just to be sure it's all out. But I think it will be okay. Beeswax isn't CG approved but it's in the one of their Set It Free spray. Some stuff I ignore because she ignores her own teachings sometimes.

I noticed this also. I have thick hair & I've always worked with four sections thinking it will be quicker styling time. I've switched to six sections and I get much better results with my WnGs.
