I've been wearing twists for 3mos now. I went to a stylist first, and about 4 weeks later i went back to get them done and to get color. Now its been two mos since i have maintained them myself.

I took a old twist out and retwisted but i braid from the scalp first then finish with a twist. This method retains length, last longer because the twist does not dissolve because it is braided first instead if twisted. I have colored my hair in the twists, wash my hair the twists. I touch up only the ones that need it.

Are the braids visible? Do you have a photo? I'm having trouble visualizing this.
