I really am starting to hate gel. It's giving me great definition & as time is going on and, my natural hair is getting more moisturized, it's lasting 4-5 days. Actually, longer than that...I just get the itch to do something different. I love the hold, I just hate the "crunch" and hardness I get. Has any type 3c/4a natural ladies achieved a good wash and go with only conditioner?

I guess that all depends on the definition/style you are looking for...I'm not much into hair typing, so I don't know what I have.

I use gel and oil or gel only for my wash and gos. I have done the moisturizer or conditioner only for wng, but I prefer the definition/style I get with the gel or gel/oil.

But even when I have used conditioner only my hair still dries hard, just not crunchy.

I thought that it was just me...I am feeling the same way about my hair. I am tired of the gel due to the crunch but it seems to give my hair so much definition. What products are you using on your hair? I have 3c/4a hair as well.

I have 3c hair and I do my wash n go's in the shower. I wash with wen, put my HEHH in (its my condish, leave in, and styler lol), scrunch that, pit a dime size of curls goddess curls gel, and tie it with a tshirt. Take the shirt off when I'm done with bathing, and that's it!

I think I'm 3c/4a, I baggied today with a leave-in and oil and to be honest I didn't feel like I needed gel afterwards. I might try going without the gel sometimes. I have been using Kids Organics Soft Hold Olive Oil Conditioning Gel and it doesn't make my hair hard. It was one of my products I used on my relaxed hair and so far so good on my TWA

I do conditioner only wash n gos...they work for me even with my short hair..my fav condish is giovanni 50/50. You can look at mohoganycurls on yt she does that whole thing. Here are a few pics of second day hair

Conditioner only wash and goes are possible. I do them all the time. I stopped using gel for definition maybe 2 weeks after I big chopped. All I use is suave conditioner or Tresemme naturals and my curls are popping. Here's a picture.
