I did my first conditioner only wash n go two days ago. My hair has never looked more beautiful. My curls were popping and moist. I used Tresseme Flawless Curls. I will be returning the curl defining products I bought from Walmart. I think I've found my HG! Yay!

I'm a 3c/4a and I've done wash and goes with conditioner only. I use tresseme naturals. It gives me a nice wash and go without the hard hold or crunchy hair. I hate gel. So it was a nice way to get a wash and go while still having relatively soft and moisturized hair. I used mahogany curls method.

I've tried...basically do it daily with whatever co-wash conditioner i'm using. Haven't figured out a routine that allows me to wear my hair out without it dripping all over and visibly having conditioner in it!!!

I know you dont want to use gel but i bought the Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie and i mix just a little eco gel together with it..no crunchy feeling and my hair is soft as hell..!!

Has any type 3c/4a natural ladies achieved a good wash and go with only conditioner?

I shampoo, as opposed to cowashing. I don't always use a styler. I prefer one because it lessens shrinkage and helps my 2nd or 3rd day hair hold.

Also, have you ever tried mousse? I use Pantene Curly as my staple styler and my hair is very touchable.

Thanks ladies. Currently, I use KCKT as my leave in and, grapeseed oil on top of that. Then, I apply either Eco Olive or Ampro Olive Oil Gel on top in sections. Today, after deep conditioning, I'm going to attempt a conditioner only W&G with Aussie Moist.

I found out my hair type from pictures, basically.

There's an article on NaturallyCurly.com that can explain hair type.

I did a conditioner only wash and go today and, I'd say it was semi successful. It's not as defined as it is with gel but, it is very very very soft & defined enough that I'm satisfied. I poo'ed with L'Oreal Ever Pure & then applied v05 moisture milks conditioner. I then applied some Ampro Olive Oil Gel and, ran my head back under the water to rinse some out, once out, I just applied Aussie Moist tiny section by tiny section & defined my curls with my fingers. I'll have the try that shea moisture and eco mix though, definitely.
