Dr. Bronner's Shampoo

Post by tiashauntee on 4th December 2009, 1:29 pm

I went to Whole Foods and bought a small bottle just to try it out, I haven't used it yet but I am wondering if anyone has tried this brand and what do you think about it?

I like my Suave shampoo's but they are good for just a good ol' regular shampoo. I would like to find my HG shampoo. I decided to search since I have finally used up all my Suave stash. I was buying 3 at a time...I never ran out. LOL

I use Dr. Bronner's Castille Soap (Peppermint) to cleanse my scalp in the shower and it cleanses very well without stripping the hair of it's natural oils. I usually follow up and cleanse my hair with conditioner, however I am learning that on my hair and scalp the Castille Soap seems to be enough to do the job.

Dr. Bonner's Soap

Post by ChrsLvsBks on 5th December 2009, 10:11 pm

I purchased a large 24 oz of Dr. Bronner's shikakai soap in spearmint peppermint from Target. I use it as a cleanser for my scalp. I add a little water before applying it.

I planned to use it for a body wash also.

Does the shampoo have saponified oils and organic oils?

ChrsLvsBks...there isn't a "shampoo" per se. Its an all in one soap. I've used it as a shampoo, a bodywash, and a facial cleanser at one point or another.

INGREDIENTS:
Water, Saponified Organic Coconut*,
Organic Palm* and Organic Olive* Oils (w/Retained Glycerin), Organic
Hemp Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Essential Oils**, Citric Acid, Vitamin E

Has anyone tried the hair conditioning rinse and cream? Its an Organic Shikakai Conditioning Rinse. I've used a Shikakai bar soap before with great results so I'm curious about this conditioning rinse.

I just purchased a bottle of the baby soap and using as a base for my body wash. I mix it with distilled water, honey and my oil mix. Whole Foods had a new castile soap that I purchased as well. I tried to mix that one too, but it doesn't lather as well as Dr. Bonner's.
