My daughters hair is THICK it takes me on average to wash blow dry and style 3-4 hours. I have no idea how to manage it without flat ironing it before styling it. It's so curly I would love to leave it and let it air dry because it would be so pretty but it tangles so easily I can't seem to find the trick with her hair. The washing and drying is such a lengthy process that sometimes I don't dry it. I just put it into as many ponytails as I can and send her to bed. I'm at a lost for what to do with her hair. if the picture uploaded correctly this is her hair wet after a washing. I took it to show her how pretty her hair was natural. Does anyone have any idea how to help me out?

What kind of styles do you do on her? Have you tried styles like twist outs braid outs? They don't require heat or flat ironing at all |

Suggestions for you & your cutie.
YouTube - key in .... 1) Aliciajames -- look for videos w/her young daughter Kelli use alot of olive oil ..... 2) search Longhairdontcare butterfly (lhdc and alicia know each other - both have beautiful, sweet girls) this will take you specifically to the videos of lhdc doing one of both of her young daughters' hair most are with "butterfly" -- she calls the other one "ladybug" for public purposes lhdc and her young daughters all have very long 4b/c texture the girls' hair is to their waists and *very* healthy mom does a simple routine that requires freshening up the hair daily, but not an overhaul by any means she only washes it once every 2 wks as I recall uses alot of olive oil, scarves/bonnets at night important to get young girls used to this early and consistently be sure not to leave hair in tight at night (or too much in day) - take out pontail bands, balls etc to avoid ruining baby hair edges - which can easily become.permanent my only disagreement is lhdc using a toothbrush to lay down butterfly's edges - too hard, rough for those areas - i would suggest a soft baby brush I have 2 designated for myself. love them. both women also have good vids about their own care and won-der-fullll general inspirational topics too the vids with their husbands are also great! ,,,, need to clone those men - take note teens out there, these are *real* men - substantive, respectful, life value/goal oriented ....not what tries to pass for as such out there but is junk - raise your bar ladies! both families are down-to-earth, likeable, sweet, sensible, loving, supportive - also religious for those whom find that important and helpful let us know if these vids help! My daughter has always had a head full of hair also and I rarely put heat in it. She's 4 now and I generally alternate between braid outs and braided pony tails. I attached a few pictures of the results of her braid outs. I just braid it up on wash day. Then I leave it braided for a couple of days. Then I take them loose carefully. Each night I use a leave in and put in a few big braids and take them loose just before leaving the house. I hope everyone's comments help. Good luck!!
