My daughter is mixed and her hair is looking like this one minute
![]() ![]() And then the next it looks like ![]() Rubber bands pop and slide right out them it gets dry and frizzy no matter what you put in her hair the style in the first 2 pics lasted about 3 hours and then it was dryer than the Sahara desert lol!!! Its unruly I would like I do it once a day or every other day I feel like everyone looks at her hair and thinks I don't do it but I do it 2-3 times a day!! Lol |

Take it easy mom, she is one. There is no need for her to have rubber bands or any tight styles for her hair at this point.
Find a nice leave-in conditioner (Mixed Chicks).Buy cute little headbands and other little girl accessories (not tight) , rubber bands are damaging to her hair. Stay away from the petroleums as well, that's why the rubber bands are flying out. Allow her hair scalp and her hair to develop, she's a baby. There is no need for the tension from the rubber bands. What other issues are having with her hair? Washing etc. Disclaimer: This answer is ideal for this question only. Everyone is different and so are the answers. Your daughter is beautiful!!! My daughter is mixed too and has the same kind of hair. I understand what you mean when her hair comes a loose.
However, I agree with the above comment. Don't pull her hair with those right rubber bands an force her hair into styles all the time. With my daughter I typically braid her hair in 6 braids during week for school. For special occasions I will do pony tails but not too tight. |

Your little girl is so cute, I think those pics show how versatile her hair is, she'll be able to rock different styles.

she is gorgeous. My daughter is mixed and has 3b/3c curls. The important thing is to start a routine and find the products that works for her, for this you may have to try different products.
If her hair is dry, try using the LOC method. I use Kinky Curly Knot TOday as my "L" (using water is okay too), Coconut Oil as my "O" which is the best oil to retain moisture for my daughter's curls and a moisturizer. I agree with the earlier suggestion, stay away from anything that is heavy on grease, that would only clog her pores. remember to stay away from any sulfate product.
