Default Natural products, how and what to use on curly coily hair. Please help!

My 9 yr old would like to wear her hair in a more natural look. She has the curly coily hair texture. I've tried many products and asked around but no luck. Some people say she needs a perm but I refuse. Where should I begin??? Please can someone help me.

Start building up the moisture in her hair. Use sulfate free shampoos or even cleansing creams and try Shea Moisture Curl Milk or Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie.

As I Am also has some good products like their Co Wash, Twisting Cream, and Coco Spray.

Condition, Condition, and Condition. Check out some of the other threads in this category or even in the products section and apply some of the same techniques and products. My 2 year old and I share some of the same hair products. She uses Shea Moisture though and I usually don't unless it's the shampoo. I also don't use menthol, peppermint type items on her but use them for my hair. She's still tiny so I don't want to burn her eyes or have her think her scalp is burning.

Curls also has great products for toddlers, kids, and us. I use their Curly Q's products on my hair.

Check out Dickey from Hair Rules on YouTube with his Q&A's (they are informative).

Check out this lady's website. She has been doing her daughter's hair in natural styles for years. They've become famous in the natural hair world. Most of the styles are so cute and she gives very good instructions on her site and youtube.
