Default Best curl activator

Hello! I've been using shea moisture and the kids Curly Q line on my 2 year old for awhile now and they have done a good job of making her hair manageable. But now i'm looking for products that will curl her hair back up? When I wash her hair it is nice and curly but once it dries the curls are so tight and hard to comb through.

Tonight I tried the LOC method for the first time. I just spritz my hair with water rubbed some evoo in it and it was instantly easier to manage. Then I used Shea moistures curl milk. My hair gets really tight when it dries..you should Try it

Was wondering, would you or any other parent use a curl activator (and I mean the actual one used on jheri curls) to moisturizer their little ones? Good choice? If you would or definitely have, please do tell. Thanks!

I don't think curl activator was the right word to use lol. I meant a product that would make her curls manageable and wearable. Her curls are very tight and lose moisture quickly so I was looking for something to fix that so I can just leave her hair out, in a ponytail with no braids or twists, etc

Care Free Curl Gold Curl Activator. You have to use it on damp, naked hair.

I see. But, no that was correct how you said. Funny I spent a lot of time in the hair aisle at the grocery store recently they probably thght I was stealing or trying to. I was reading!! But there are actually non-jheri curls curl activators out there. I didnt get any and was hesitant to get for example S-curl curl activator spray & other stuff I saw. It said it can be used on natural hair too. Instead, I went with castor oil & a coconut oil hair grease for my daughter. That, plus plain water & Shea Moisture curl enhancing smoothie (which on her enhances nothing) does just fine re: tangles & styling. The smoothie I apply like a grease but put on the actual hair root to tip; the grease I put on her scalp. her hair isnt greasy looking & all that. No build up... Occassionally I put her hair in "afro puff" pony tails, but mainly I keep it braided. When she gets a bit older then I'll consider her wearing it loose & not just a half day before or after washing. But I read good reviews about for real curl activator. I think above poster just said Curl free, that's on my list to try.
