From experience, I wish I had done more cowashing than trying to use the harsh shampoos that are made for babies' hair. The shampoo really wasn't necessary as I wasn't using baby oil or other things in her hair that shampoo would've been needed to remove.

I started cowashing and that made a big difference in the dryness of her hair. If of course I used a product that was heavy or if it seemed really dirty, then I did use shampoo or Mustella. It was hard to find a conditioner for toddlers that wasn't Just For Me and the likes but I did find one by Chi/BioSilk that seemed to do well and later Shea Moisture.

I used the orange label products for her hair (Coconut & Hibiscus). I shampooed and then used the Curl Milk and then the Mist.

Now that I'm getting more comfortable with products I still use Shea Moisture but also use Giovanni's Smooth As Silk Conditioner or the Direct Leave In.

Other conditioners that I've used are the Kinky Curly Knot Today as a leave in/detangler but I like Giovanni the best on her hair with KCKT being a good 2nd.

Her hair is cottony and can take a lot of product or weight for twists. I thought it was extremely coarse at first but it wasn't properly moisturized I'm guessing.

I also use Aloe Vera Juice mixed with water or a few oils as a leave in.

Also a lot of moms like Taliah Waajid's products for kids/babies. I didn't like the shampoo when I tried it when she was younger so I can't speak on it but I do like The Bodifier (it really detangles and makes pretty twist). It was one of the 1st products that I found for my hair that helped after my BC. Has a pineapple type smell. The other product that I remember others loving is something called The Great Detangler (haven't tried that one).

We use Beautiful Curls on his hair, the shampoo and conditoner he is a very active toddler and gets dirty every single day.
We shampoo every 2 days and co wash every other day.
I use EVOO in his hair as well as Beautiful Curls Oil they have for "Babies and Up".

I also have a 3 year old and I just started transistioning and I have began to use the same products on her hair too but with her being 3 I am not sure if I should deep condition her hair and I was just wondering if you deep condition your 3 year olds hair or would that be doing too much for their age.

I would say do what you think she needs according to what time and her patience allows.

I use HEHH for my 4yr old with 3b-c type hair. I co wash everyday for moisture only shampoo once every 3 weeks or so. I use Jane carter leave in or cream of nature argan oil leave in to style after spritzing with water. I believe nature is still taking care of the best part of her so I keep the product usage down as much as possible.

I'm still learning how to take care of her hair...right now we are using Beautiful Beginnings line and so far so good. I co wash on Saturdays and band then style on Sundays. I'm still searching forms great daily moisturizer I can use bc her hair drinks everything!!! Here is her after I took some braids out. Length stretched is below the middle of her back. .
