Default Mixed,Biracial Hair help tips!! 3c hair!?

I've been looking alll OVER YT to try and get some help with my hair! I believe its 3c, real defined curl pattern. I'm transitioning now, but when I was younger (before perms, relaxers, etc.) It was SUPER thick, and curly and long. I hated having ANYONE do ANYTHING to it. But now I'm looking to take care of it, and when I search on yt for 'biracial hair' or 'mixed hair care', my hair type doesn't come up often! Usually people with big wavy curls pop up, rarely I see my texture. Its not coarse,though...But mine are smaller than theirs, and I reaaallly need help with my type of hair! Do any of you parents have daughters or sons with 3c,thick,smooth hair? I need help.... ...

You should get Teri Le Flesh's book, which should be a great help to you. Look for it on amazon.com.

I'm biracial with mainly 3c hair. When I was little, I dreaded anyone touching my hair because super hard to manage & super kinky/curly. You tube is what inspired me to go natural. Check out taren916, denimpixie, lexiwiththecurls, lolakinkz and richeau. They're not all biracial, but their hair reminds me of mine in ways but is different too. It's not about finding 'biracial' hair. Let all curly & natural hair inspire you.

I am not biracial, but Creole and I have a 3c pattern. I can attest to Jivelene's suggestions for YT-bers, they all have helped me tremendously as well as the ladies here on the forum. It's all about trial & error & I am willing to answer any ?'s if you need help also try Naptural85 on YT, her styles are to die for

Try going to www.tightlycurly.com her advice has helped my daughter who is 3c with tight curls. Her site has great product recommendations, along with detangling and ingredients advice. I used her site to help with my daughters hair journey along with the other sites mentioned. You can find our journey here at http://kandylandkurls.blogspot.com Good Luck

I am mixed too and have been STRUGGLING with what to do. I kept popping on to the forum here titled "CG method: who's with me" and after reading the posts for a while I finally bought the book. I started the recommended regimine this weekend. I had already ditched shampoo for the most part and was using tresemme naturals already as a co-wash but the book taught me so much. I was skeptical but today (4th day on the plan/ 2nd wash) and my curls are outrageous. I got so many compliments all day. If you're interested in the Curly Girl Method there's a book by that name, author Lorraine Masey and I downloaded it to my kindle on my iPhone but you can buy it on amazon or in Barnes and Noble. Also, check out the yt-er Mahogany Curls. She also has a blog www.mahoganycurls.com. Her hair is ridiculous. He's a total inspiration and does the CG method. Which by the way is the easiest hair care regimen I've ever had. Makes me so happy
