Thanks Honny. I used poos w sulfates early on, but I've been careful lately to look for shampoos w/o sulfates. I'm ready to clarify now. I appreciate the tip about following up with conditioner.

Hi MissyCee! I can't tell you how many times I've written things that didn't take. Frustrating.

Wow Letha, your hair always looked good.

Welcome LuvN and Geezemarie! Geezemarie, how pretty. The best thing about this forum is the support from other curlies and the knowledge you'll gain. You're free to be you. And these women have so much wisdom. Enjoy the journey!

Honny, good thing you have good grades, so this grade doesn't have a bad impact on your overall grade.
Butterfly, will you be in the same area, or are you relocating to another town/state?
Nite ladies.
Hey, karemel, I'm sorry I missed your post. I'm going to be in the same area. I'm moving 9 miles away. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but my son attends school online and my mom is his learning coach, and I drop him off with her every morning for school. now he's happy he's not going to have to get up with me and leave the house to go because he'll already be there.

Hey, curlies, happy Friday!!!

Yes, I have another 3-day weekend...LOL. This time it's not a holiday though, I took off to take my son to his school testing on Monday. Since he goes to school online, they have to meet somewhere to take the state tests.

I'm thinking of doing mini twists. I've always wanted to but have always been afraid that they'll be too scalpy. I think I'm going to go for it.

Hey Curl Friends,

Confession time...Henna is not working for me. I'll admit I do love the conditioning benefits buts the reddish hue makes my hair look dull and I have to use a little glycerin to gloss it up AND I don't like the way my now reddish gray threads look I guess it's because I have a strand here or a patch there and it not evenly distributed. So, I'm on the hunt for some good color. If I'm going to color, I want to have some fun with it

Now that my school program is winding down. I'm ready to start exploring life outside LOL I'm co-hosting a meet up at Busboys and Poets 14 and V location in D.C. on May 5th from 5-8. There will be gift bags, giveaways, poetry, music, hair models and hair talk. Here's the flyer. Hope to see you there.

Okay, this is exactly why I do the henna/indigo 2-step process. but it only works for you if you like having black hair. I do like it because my hair seems shinier and fuller.

I wish I could go to the function but Vegas is just too far away...lol
