I have thick hair and I am currently in this awkward phase. I don't like wng's because I hate the shrinkage. Any attempt I make at a braid out or twist out just turns into a puff.

Mine is like that too be specially the top of my hair, my ends won't twist and stay together so it looked weird when I take it out. I try to find updos on google and YouTube because I always rock the puff.
