I usually either spray a water/castor oil mix to each section, then a little Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, then do large twists. Sometimes if it is already moisturized, I don't put anything on it. But I always twist my hair before I go to bed if it is not already in a protective style.

I'm new here...glad to finally get on here. Anyways, I made my own concoction which seems to work for me. I use unrefined shea butter and mix various oils in it (grapeseed, jojoba, evoo, etc). I use a hand mixer to make it creamy. Some nights I just use grapeseed oil. I usually alternate. Before applying I do spray with water. I do bantu knots because I have a lot of damaged straight ends from yrs of perm and bantu knots is the only way I can have curl.

If I need it I mist (not saturate) with water add a little kckt and shea mix to seal, and always always always wear a bonnet or scarf.

My hair isn't long enough for one pineapple so I do 3 mini pineapples, light spritz with spray bottle concoction and put on my scarf. I don't retwist unless I have to.

I refuse to mist my hair with water before bed unless im in a wash and go state. If i spritzed with water i'd wake up a frizzy mess. I have part of my nightime routine on my youtube in this video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgd7r...ature=youtu.be

I never even knew you were supposed to do anything at night.
Normally when I wear twist outs I just twist a few twists back and then mist/moisturize/oil in the morning. But maybe my hair would turn out better if I did that at night...

(I also either wear a satin bonnet or silk/satin scarf every night, if that counts as a routine)
