Didn't know that. I just knew it smoothes the cuticle. Aloe Vera contains amino acids. So it definitely doesn't play well with my hair. To the ladies that can use some form of protein kudos BC this head is not having it smh

I don't believe aloe vera is a humectant. Where did you read this?

Humectant or not aloe Vera dries my hair. I have tried the LOC LCO OLD and any other method but my hair will not retain moisture and its shedding bad. HELP PLEASE someone, anyone, everyone. Wat am I doing wrong????

What products are you using? How are you applying them? With or without heat?

It can depending on your porosity and it closes the cuticles.

Yeah that's why you have to be careful depending on where you live. I live in PA so I just don't use them much.
