Default Hair Type?

I'm only doing it in one section, for now, cuz my hair is soo matted together it's hard to tell what my curl pattern is. A lil more info on my hair, I have several pieces that has a curl definition, but it's soo matted together udk what type it is. I think i'm gonna have to cut it more to get to it. but idk.. I'm thinking my hair is like a 4A, or a 4C cuz of the matting, but it does have some curl definition. What u think?

That is no where near in the 4s…most likely 3b. If that was in the 4s, I'd be 7f or something.

That's 3c. I have those on the top layer of my hair and a few of those in the back. Matted hair does not make you a 4c. When your hair is properly hydrated, detangled, and healthy then you will see your true hair type.

I really wouldn't focus to much on it right now. I'd focus on developing and maintaining healthy hair atm. Especially seeing as you recently bc'd. Your hair is going to go through so changes so what it looks to be right now may or may not be what it is a month or so in.

However, to answer your question, it looks to be 3C.

Wow I forgot about this post lol. And yeah i only Bc'd in the back, the sides and front has still some straight ends. And ure right! I have been focusing on taking care of my hair more than worrying about what type i am. I can always worry about it later and looking at it now, my hair has curled up a lil more, but its still loose. Ty for the reply tho. imma just focus on my full bc and getting my hair long. Main focus!
