The color is in the isle with all the other hair dye. I had to go back and look. And the new products are in the back of the store in the seasonal isle. Just in case you didn't look there cause I know I thought they weren't there the first trip then I looked hard the second trip. How that helps.

DId it all. I walked the whole Target, no lie. I looked in the seasonal isle, in the electronics, in every grocery isle, up and down the beauty isle, etc. I didn't see it. I called for help from the hair color isle and that's when they Target associate tried to look for it as well.

Hmmm, I found the hair color at 2 Targets in the DFW area that weren't even on the list!!! So, there's no telling which Targets will and won't have it. I purchased the Dark Auburn color to try and tone down the "henna red" I have going on and I like the results ... BUT, I'll say, if you have thick/dense hair like I do ... One box may not be enough. I literally had to bang the rest of the color out of the bottle to ensure I got all of my hair. Whew! That was a close one!

NeeC, did the dye still work over the henna? I want to try to put a blonde chunk in the front, but I'm worried about the dye actually getting through to my strands since they are already coated with the henna.

Because the color I selected (Dark Auburn) is actually darker than my henna color, it made my hair darker and toned the henna down - which I actually like. I'm not sure if the color is strong enough to overcome the henna for lightening purposes ... I do plan on getting the bright auburn (eventually) and going over the front of my hair with it, so hopefully there'll be a slight color change. HTH.

Ah, that makes sense. The henna is pretty dark on my hair, and only really shows up in the sunlight. *sigh* Looks like I'll just have to grow it out. Oh well.

I've used henna once. I got the bright auburn. I haven't done the color on my whole head yet, but the color did take on my strand test. I have very, very dark hair.

Well thats good to hear. I'm preparing to put my hair up in Marley twist thingys (first time installing my own braids ) for a while to do some traveling, but after I took it down, I definitely wanted to try color. Its encouraging to hear that it can still work, haha.
