I'd also like to + that I've never had any damage or dryness due to coloring but I don't recommend to anyone to do what I've done only cause most ppl can't …I've been doing this since 18 & i do it myself, a professional is only used for multiple colors @ 1x, so ik my hair & my chemicals like the back of my hand😄

I used Ion Demi Permanent creme hair color in light burgundy blonde. It came out lighter than I expected but it looks ok. I also used Ion powder hair lightener before applying the color. Both of these items where purchased at Sally's. Over time it may darken a little bit.

Im glad i found this thread because my hair is naturally black n i was gettn bored..so i jus dyed it last nite wit L'oreal High Color Highlights for dark hair n Red!! Right now im not doin anything wit it cause i have to color it again tonight and then i will moistourize it and twist it...right now its so dry n brittle so im hoping it does not stay like this. To me black hair always looked healthier n thsts y i neva colored..so i pray i dont regret this...any suggestions on good products to use?

Are u looking for good product for a Moisturizer? Have you deep condition your hair yet? Have done a protein treatment?

Like the above poster said are you doing DC treatments and protein treatments to your hair? I learned the hard way when I first colored my hair. Someone said in the beginning of the thread moisture is the key, and protein treatments monthly. Giovanni smooth as silk deep moisture conditioner is my favorite. I use it as a leave in. Also I learned the LOC method from here as well.

Yes if u could let me kno a good moisturizer or the best things to do to keep it from breaking...i didnt bleach it but the dye i used had a little bleach n it...i used L'oreal High Color Highlight. What exactly is a protein treatment?

How long after i dyed it should i DC or do this protein treatment? Did u bleach when u dyed your hair? I looked it up and some say protein treatment broke their hair off and some say it did good for their hair so idk wut i should do but im also not sure what a protein treatment is. I've been puttn my oils and Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque and keeping it under a silk wrap n twist. But im goin to have to try some of these procedures because like i say im new to color and def dont want to damage my hair. Im goin to collect some of these things Friday on pay day and moisturize my hair real good so i can style it. Are there any suggestion on products i can use to twist my hair and style it witout fading or damaging my hair?

I make my own products, I love naptrual85 Shea butter pomade and creamer. It has all the great oils in it. For me my weekly dc mix is ORS deep conditioning mix with EVOO, jojoba oil, vitamin e oil, castor oil and coconut oil. I do once a month protein treatment (homemade-egg, honey, EVCO & EVOO or already made like aphogee treatment 2 step process

Uummm imma youtube this cuz im lost to what EVCO or EVOO is lol. I did see on youtube where someone made a protein treatment wit egg, yogurt, honey, and olive oil. Wits ORS? Thnx for the advice and info because i am lost to alot of this.
