Last night after I left the gym my scalp was itching something terrible so I decieded to cowash to relieve it. I went directly to bed after I finished without doing anything to my hair so this morning I woke up to a damp matted mess. My hair is EXTREMELY coily, and if it air drys loose with no product its HELL to deal with. So this morning while kicking myself for going to sleep like that I decided to try a wash and go. I saturated my hair with Giovanni smooth as silk and grabbed sections which I detangled quicky and horribly (fast detangling for me always leads to ripping hair out) then twisted. In the shower I rinsed the conditioner out leaving the twist in. After that I put some castor oil through out with the twist still in. Then I untwisted each twist, smoothed on some kinky curly curling custard and when it was all done I shook my head and it looked HORRIBLE!!! So I put it in a puff. I don't understand why I can never successfully wash and go. How do you guys wash and go?

When I wash and go, I simply wash my hair with my shampoo. Put leave in conditioner. Finger comb in some gel and that's it. I don't usually twist it or braid it. I'm going to do hat this weekend then post pics along with my products.

Ok ladies. I did my wash and go. This is the result and the products I used. As I was taking the pictures I realized I used the wrong conditioner. I thought I put the leave in but instead I used regular that was supposed to be washed out. But that's ok. My hair is very moisturizers. Looks great. Whats your curl pattern? I know what I think it is. Which conditioner did you use? Shea moisture acts as both a wash out or leave in conditioner.
