Default how to keep waves from reverting to a fro

Hmmmm so after, wearing my hair in braids all week under a wig I kept it greased with Doo gro, and My shea butter avacoda, so last night I took my braids down and said hmm let me try this dry twisting, My hair was soft from all the oil, When I wash and twist it always revert to a fro and seem dry, So last Night I took the braids down, I detangled with the Leave in conditioner taliah waajid and used my Hawaiian Silky as a moisturizer, I did 5 Big braids on each side, and stretched it, When I took My twist Out My hair look so pretty, I was just going to twist the front in four big twist with ribbon barretts and have the back wavy, Well I losen each one once, and by the time I left the house My hair was a fro, I really want to wear my hair I just cannot figure out why it keeps going to a fro... Whew Jesus Trial an error,,,, Im getting my body healthy I went from 234 to 216 so I want my hair healthy, I want everything natural,,,, I just pra i figure out this hair thing, Hair appointment in 2weeks.

last night with the advice of Nanurchi, I did a honey and olive oil treat ment, which did make it soft a bit, then washed it with my argan cream of nature moisturizibg maracon shampoo, put in my design essential conditioner washed that out then sprayed my hair with cream of nature marocon leave in conditioner, I though it would detangle but didnt so I did, my perfect results shea butter avacodo JBco mix and detangle with taliah Waajud leave in and twisted with Hawaiian silky moisturizer, Its in twist right now, Im going to take it down later this we maybe tomorrow who knows, Bbut how to keep the wave is my issue,,,, smiles Help

It sounds like you need a good styler. Like a gel or something. Is the weather very humid where you live? Your hair may be sucking in all that moisture from the air causing you to loose definition. I'm in the south. So over the summer, if I even think I want definition I have to use, at the very least, flax seed or eco styler gel to keep my definition for a good lenth of time.

I agree with Nhappy Jackie. You need to twist/braid using a gel and/or a twist and loc butter. I use Qhemet's Hydrate and Twist Butter along with Organic Root Stimulator Loc and Twist gel.

Thanks! The Qhemet butter can be ordered online and i heard some stores do sell it. You'll have to search. I got it from my mom who got it from a friend. And you don't have to use a whole lot. Just use a little butter and/or gel per twist.

Flax seed is a gel. Look it up of youtube for recipes (basically boiling seeds). I mainly use this because I prefer to use natural products. The Qhemet (sp?) I've read is good as well, and it is all natural. They have a website that you can look at too, or try to find it in a swap. Thanks for the compliment, I think we all find something about the next head we like :P, Example, I love your waves you get with buns, my hair don't even try to do that. I want that El'Debarge (sp?) wave look a lot of naturals are able to achieve with their buns and puff,....but not in this head..LOL
