I like your style!!!!! Can you post a pic of the back so I can steal your idea, lol!!! I was using the terresentials mud wash and that required no pre poo. All I did was grab a section or horribly tangled hair, smooth in the mud wash, and then twist. Once in the shower I would rinse and then it would practically detangle itself. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE terresentials. I've run out though and haven't been able to replenish as of yet. I was doing that since May. My last wash day I henned so I used shampoo for the first time in months but since I henned there was no need to prepoo. The next wash will be the first traditional pre poo wash in a long time. I was using EVOO and honey before because I wanted shine and softness and wasn't concerned with slip for detangling. I may have to change that up for now though. I'm gonna re up on the terresentials as soon as I can though because that stuff changed my life. Took my wash day from hours to an hour. If you never tried it please do, trust me you'll love it and your hair will to!

Retwist move to next section…dc each section and rinse unraveling and retwisting or twirling each section…then I part my hair and put two lil plaits apply leave in and oil on wet hair then off to style with more leave in and styler…I band my hair to keep it stretched for next day flat twist but I can just put a beanie on and go to work and flat twist after I get home…I never rush to take down hair in am anymore. Like you I used to run a comb thru my hair like my mama used to do to me and tear my hair apart untwisting when I’m running late for work…so I’m recovering from a lot pas mechanical damage and heat damage too. My hair tangles so much I could comb during pre poo, with conditioner, before after dc and still fight with my hair when I’m styling while wet!
Here's my ps this week...after my three day henna marathon

I've done my own version with bentonite clay and all the herbal powders: chamomille, linden, nettle, horsetail and EO's....I'm not spending $30 plus shipping on that Terressential bottle...I'm a recovering PJ with products to last me two years easy and I'm not talking bout drugstore products. Cuz I go HAM on a sale. But I just started doing the pre poo and it helps keep me from combing too much in the shower...I'm into rhassoul clay, henna and amla, brahmi, & maka pastes so I'm used to long wash day sessions. I pre poo before er'thing.

Thank you the bang/front are two strand twists and the rest are flat twist going towards the crown...here are the pics ..this was a roll & tuck...today was a pomp and the back was cris crossed and pinned...but I can't take hair pins so took a pin out and put it in any old way...lol

Hi ladies,

After a quick 2 day out style, my hair is washed, conditioned, and styled again for another 2-3 weeks.... I'm really feeling this set of braids I did.... Hoping they last a long time...

Hey guys!!! checking in. Me and my puff are still going strong. I know it's not protective but it sure is low manipulation. I even co washed it but I didn't detangle. I literally took the puff out, wet it, applied conditioner let it sit for a few minutes while I showered then rinsed, sealed with JBCO and aloe very gel, then twisted as best I could without detangling and in the morning I thought right back into the puff, but I was pleasantly surprised because my twist out was super defined and the definition lasted days. There was a lot of shrinkage though. I wore it out once or twice while I was away but it fell funny. I have to try castor oil and aloe vera gel again and see if that was a fluke or if that combo is really the bomb. So mostly it was in the puff. I'm looking for style ideas so this weekend when I have time I can style. If I don't find anything I think I'm just going to do box braids or two strands. I also joined a castor oil challenge and so far I think my hair is loving the cator oil. I've used it in the past but in mixes and at one time I thought it was causing shedding, but for this challenge I have only been using regular castor oil and JBCO and so far so good.

Smile Dropping out

Hi ladies,
During the course of this challenge I've discovered....I HATE protective styles! Especially while my hair is still jacked up from the baby. I think the best thing for me is to leave it alone and stick to low manipulation. My hair was suffering from the crap I was trying to do to it. My hair looks nice thick when out but scalpy in the back when trying some styles. So, I think I'm just going to do low manipulation styles; like braid outs and twist its outs and only retwisting every other day (pineappling). So, ladies good luck and happy growing; I'm out.
