I applied JBCO mixed with peppermint oil to my scalp and edges and ran any excess through the length of my twists. I hope I develop edges doing this everyday for one week!

I don't think mini twists would good on my face though. Plus I don't have the time or skills to put them in.

I bunned my hair today. It was a nice protective style. Most protective styles looks ugly on my face. It was a lazy bun on top of my head w/ black scrunchie that I had learned from my straight haired friends back when I flat ironed all the time (I was convinced that I had straight hair!!). Haha I really like the style...alotta compliments...an awesome way to give my hair and mind a break

Yup I'm in college. In hs I would twist my hair every weekend. Wash day took a while, but it never set me back on my homework so it worked!

Awesome!! What college? I would like to study to become a psychologist one day. A lot of reasons why but I won't get into that hahaha. Psychology is one of 2 things that come natural to me. I also LOVE reading books on it and watching shows on it. I even stole the AP psyche textbook from my school library....hahaha nerdy, but that has great stuff!!

Anyway, when you would twist your hair did you do like mini twists...or chunky? I'm just positive I'd look dumb with twists though....my face is weird about how it looks with hairstyles.

I haven't washed my hair in 2 weeks. I've been consistent with baggying and moisturizing...haha still need to get better with the scalp massages though (hopefully the baggying helps with the sebum).

My hair has been very oily and a little residuey, but stronger and softer. I have been getting a lot of shed hair tangles >.< ugh. I should be getting around to washing this weekend, though :-).

I am also ordering my henna this weekend!!! Hopefully I can do the treatment next weekend, but I have a lot of tests so I could be too tired.

This is what I'll be using for henna:
Henna - Jamilla BAQ
Acidic quality - Red Zinger tea
Rinse out - Tresemme Naturals..the one that has moisturizing in the name
DC - Shea Moisture deep treatment.

I plan to henna overnight, and then DC overnight. Please give any suggestions!!

How's everyone doing?

My hair is still soft from the +15 hour overnight deep treatment that I did on Tuesday. My hair is also loving the braids that it's in and stays moisturized. I am so happy about that!

I think that my hair can hold these braids in for a full 3-4 weeks. Yay!!!! XD

I go to Georgia Tech. And that's great that you've already found your niche!

I would do midsized twists, ranging from the size of a pinky to the size of an index finger, depending on how much time I was willing to spend.
Give it a try, though, and see if you like it!
