So I thought that my hair had heat damage but I think I am also experiencing a texture change. I definitely had heat damage in the front of my hair but I cut off the head damaged ends but my hair still isn't as tightly curled as it once was. I realized that my texture in the back if different too but the back of my hair definitely had no heat damage. And just when I was starting to get used to all these different curls on my head they wanna switch it up. LOL

Default Nothing But Products

So I got some free samples of the Nothing But line and I've been trying them out all week. I have to say I love these prodcuts. I tried the Clarifying Shampoo, the Conditioner, Curly Pudding, and Curl Refresher and never has my hair felt softer!!!! I was so surprised and how great my hair felt. I'm strongly considering switching to this line.

Default Sick!!!!!

So I've been under the weather (whatever that means) for about a week now and I'm just wondering how do you ladies handle your hair when you're sick. I was rocking the twisted bantu knot out but I was so drained last night I threw my hair into two flat twists and wore a flat twist out today. AND not to mention it's wash day

Default No Time

Uh I literally have NO TIME to come to this site anymore between seeing clients, studying for finals, writing final papers, and working on preentations I have no time for time smh. And on top of all that trying to keep my hair from looking like a complete birds nest. This is the life of a full time fully committed grad student. Anyways although I have had less than stellar results with Miss Jessie's in the past I decided to get some free samples and give them a whirl (hey they're free) So the Super Sweetback Treatment is handsdown the most amazing deep conditioner I have ever tried. Ok.... maybe not the most amazing but it ties with the Nothing But deep conditioner I tried a few weeks back but I was surprised that I actually liked it. Second the Curly Pudding...shoulda never went there. Talk about hard hair that is as dry as the sahara desert. I can't deal!!!!! Don't get me wrong, great definition and shinne but REALLY to I need to suck all the moisture out of my hair and then make it hard as a helmet for definition????? I think I'll just still with another company for this one.

I tried Miss Jessie's once. I was so angry I had spent so much money on one jar of nothing. For a fraction of the price, I went back to Cantu Shea butter, which worked fine in the first place. I only tried one thing which kept me from trying others. But I think getting to try it for free would be something worth while.

Glad to see something they sell works.

Default Funny Thing...

It's crazy how my styling has changed with my hair growth...when my hair was shorter I tried every way I could to stretch my curls and get length. I did twists outs but I bobby pinned my hair around my head to stretch my curls. I did wash n go's but tried my hardest to stretch it out. Not that my hair is slightly longer I try to wear styles that mimic shorter lengths/TWA. As of late I have fallen in love with twisted bantu know outs. I don't get a lot of length but my hair looks so full and I L.O.V.E. it. Funny Thing
