Default How often to you get facials?

I'm starting to get them monthly as I get older. I haven't really noticed a change , but it's only been a couple of months.

Do you get facials?

How often?

My derm. suggested I get facials once a month, and so far I've gone once. I don't see a difference yet, but I'm sticking with it and have another appt. soon.

What kind of facial do you get? I've never had a facial before but I do an at home facial where I exfoliate, steam etc. I want to start getting professional facials but don't know where to start.

I go once a month. It's a one hour session with cleansing, steaming, extractions, exfoliation, and a mask. During the times when products have to set, I get a mini-massage and hand treatment. Sometimes for a treat or if she's running a special, I will get a peel.

Additionally, I have been going to my aesthetician every month for about 3 years. I prefer her personal, one woman operation versus the big box spas.

I get European facials. They tend to be about an hour long and include cleanse, exfoliate, steam, extraction, and light massage. I have a regular lady who does mine and I love it. She usually takes about 90min. I leave feeling so refreshed.

I have been bouncing around groupon and living social getting discounted facial coupons as well. That helps to save a bit of money. You can start there if that's in your area. But usually a European facial (sometimes called a signature facial) is a good place to start. I go to a plastic surgeon's office that's also a spa.

I have acne so I get a dermatological facial.

I do my own facials and i'm 22. I cleanse my face first with my Ambi Cream Cleanser, then I mix a little with pure cane sugar and exfoliate my skin and rinse. When i'm done I follow with a Mint Julep mask by Queen Helen to minimize pores and erase blackheads and rinse with warm water and blot dry. then I apply Witch Hazel, which is my choice toner, to a cotton round and apply it, followed by my current moisturizer which is the Equate brand for Aveeno positively radiant moisturizer.I know this isnt spa quality, but it's helped me save money and achieve the skin I want all for under 20$ I really hope this helps Ladies.

Witch Hazel- 97 cents at Walmart
Queen Helen Mint Julep Mask-3$ at Family dollar
Ambi Cream Cleanser- 4.45$ at Walmart
Sugar- I forgot becuase I usually get my supply of sugar from home but I know it's cheapie cheap.
Equate Brand for Aveeno- 4$ at Walmart.

I do one on my own every Sunday. I exfoliate with baking soda & lemon & then I steam my face using a bowl of hot salt water for about 15 minutes. Then I do a facial mask, rinse & moisturize ...it works for me.
