Lemme rephrase... I use warm water lol. I just say hot because growing up... if it wasn't cold then it hot. The scalp is on going, but right now I have a weave in so it's bad. When I have my natural hair out, I'm co washing and constantly moisturizing so it isn't a problem. I've never had it on my face before though. I was told to use neem oil before but I'm not sure where to get it from. Sent from my SGH-T679 using CurlyNikki App |

Hi SamPhisticated,
I carry Neem in both the soap and the oil, tea tree, black soap (original, w/shea and liquid), carrier oils (including the rosehip I mentioned) as well as facial masques and other moisturizers like antioxidant souffle @ B-N-B (I'm , Sharika, the owner btw who also happens to be a curlygirl, I have a sponsored thread here and we're also sponsoring the By Any Means Natural Challenge here as well, just didn't want you to think I was some loon just trying to get your addy, lol) I help people with issues all the time using fewer products, that are not very expensive but like I said I'd be happy to send you some skin care samples just let me know.

OMG go gluten free! I went it and it's the best decision I've made. I started it for health reasons. My skin discolaration is clearing up and I feel like the vitamins I take have more of an effect. First few weeks it was hard but it's so simple. Let me know if you want any advice on it, glad to help get you on the healthy train!

Not to be rude, but have you gone to a dermatologist yet? You really don't want to mess around with your face, and you may be doing more damage than good.

This is a late reply but I HAD to reply to this! I had VERY similar problems to what you're experiencing, not to the same degree, but I understand your struggle and frustration! I absolutely, and I mean absolutely swear by Jergens Ultra Healing lotion! It's a dry skin moisturizer for everything that is amazing! It will remove ANY type of flaking, dryness, whatever. I'd honestly stop with the oils; they don't do well. I've also tried them and can say that.. I'm not saying they aren't beneficial or good, but coming from a person with similar issues; no. If you're going to use them then my advice would be to when you're doing your hair, rub some all over your face (jojoba is real good) and just rinse it off when your rinsing off your conditioner or whatever. It will leave your face soft, shiny (not greasy), and just plain smooth. This is my personal regimen that works well for me (from morning-end of day):
(if you don't take a shower in the morning, just refresh your face with a splash of water and a good rub - NOT a vigorous one, just a light rub) first: Burt's Bees Natural Acne Solutions Clarifying Toner (love, love, love! this is the BEST for acne and the face in general that I've used. I have used everything from Neutrogenna (w/e), Clearasil, and whatever out there.. ) second: Jergen's Ultra Healing Lotion and just a lipbalm (Burts Bees replenishing (red kind) is the bomb! NEVER have to reapply throughout the day or feel chap) third (nothing more in the morning, this is for in the evening; after school, work, whatever.): Clearasil Ultra Deep Pore Cleansing Pads and then some more of Jergens (light application) on parts of your face that is more on the dry, flaking side but I honestly wouldn't recommend it (Clearasil pads). It works OKAY at best, but it's not suitable. I'm just finishing it up as I only have a few left and I've had it sitting for a while. I would recommend Burts Bee's facial cleaning towelettes. I haven't personally tried them but everything from that company works wonders for me and I can only expect those to work nicely too. For your skin, I would recommend the sensitive type ones. I have absolutely no skin issues with what I do. I'm not saying you should follow my regime, but coming from a person that has experienced similar issues, this works! It is very simple and only takes a few minutes to do. To the scrub... I'd stop with it as it is only going to make your flaking worse, it's not going to improve it at all. Exfoliating + already, constant flakes = big no. I hope that after you use the cleanser that you use a moisturizer (not an oil) as that won't help either if not, just further damage the root of the problem. If you want to talk, feel free to vm/pm.
