Oh ok. I noticed that when I started doing it the results were pretty quick & my skin started feeling a lot smoother.

Your regimen sounds like something I should do too. Hope you get good results!

I tried using raw African black soap but even that started burning after a few days even without me rubbing. I typically just apply gently and wash off by splashing water and then patting dry. Needless to say I stopped using that. I'm trying a mixture of castor oil, grape seed oil, evoo, and honey. I'm trying to control breakouts and lighten acne scars....let's see if this works!

I hope so too, thank you. At this point it's not any worse so I'm going to keep doing it and stay positive.

Thought I should leave a little update.
I don't LIKE cetaphil, but it's great for those days when I don't want to use a makeup remover and all that. I only use it on night when I'm REALLY tired and I just want to wash my face and be done with it.

I stopped using the black soap daily. I use it every few days with my clairisonic, but eh. I'm not liking it that much. It's just not good for my dry skin.
I think I'll just use it on my body from now on.

BUT- I love the garden of wisdom cleanser I've been using. It makes my face feel soft and clean. Not dry, tight, squeaky clean. Just clean.

I've also been using a few other GoW products (a toner, serum), and passion fruit (Maracuja) oil.

My skin still has a few bumps here and there.
So, what I'm doing right now is just OK. I'm still trying to tweak it to be perfect.

Yeah black soap was too harsh for my face but it worked great for my body.

I have oily, acne prone skin. My regimen do far is ..
- washing morning & night with neutrogena oil free acne wash or the grapefruit foaming scrub
- applying witch hazel
- moisturizing w/ olay complete w/ sunscreen for combo/oily skin (I'm thinking about not moisturizing at night cause my face gets really oily overnight even with this product)

On Mondays & Fridays, I exfoliate with st Ives blemish control apricot scrub

Wednesdays I do a mask with neutrogena clear pore cleanser/mask (if I have some new breakouts, ill do a quick cleansing with this as needed)

I don't know too much about toners but I've used green tea in the past as one & it helped a lot. I've also heard good things about using lemon juice & honey as a toner, or pure witch hazel. Do a search on Youtube or Google for toners, that would probably be your best option

I use the green tea toner from buttersandbars.com and I love it. It also has organic lemon juice in it to help lighten dark spots. Hth :-)
