I just ordered some things from Garden of Wisdom, and I'm trying to see if I can set up an appointment with a dermatologist. Maybe I can get some retin-a...

Switching up my regimen a little bit since the weather is starting to change. I'm still doing the OCM in the mornings, but at night I was my face with Panoxyl soap, followed by using a Clindamycin facial wipe, then I use the Tazorac cream for spot treatment. I've noticed that the Panoxyl & the Clindamycin leave my face a little dry (probably because they both have benzoyl peroxide in them) so I've been using grapeseed oil as a moisturizer afterwards.

Its a skincare routine where you use different natural oils to wash your face. Check out theoilcleansingmethod.com for more info. Fran of heyfranhey.com also has her own version of it too.

With the weather change I see I'm having to switch up. I was using OCM with castor oil but right now I've switched to NH African black soap to wash and a blend of olive and sweet almond oils w tea tree and peppermint EO to moisturize.

The garden of wisdom products that I've been using are actually way better than I thought they'd be. My hyper pigmentation isn't nearly as bad as it was, and I haven't had any breakouts. I do have one giant pimple, but that was there before I started using the products.
Maybe this will be something I can stick to long term. |

Yeah I feel like I should switch up my oils too. Right now I'm using castor, olive, grapeseed & lavender. Have you noticed a difference since you switched your oils?

I'm not sure yet. I jus switched about a week ago. My skin breaks out with season changes and I have to change up my products. Plus, between my naturally oily skin and the oils in my hair it was just not a good combo, lol. I am noticing that my bumps are clearing up though so I guess it's working.

I'm extra late but I just found this forum. I just started the OCM today and I'm hoping it helps my crazy skin. I have hormonal acne and oily, sensitive skin...terrible combo. I've used just about anything you can imagine from over the counter to prescription items including oral antibiotics, etc to no avail. I tried using raw African black soap but even that started burning after a few days even without me rubbing. I typically just apply gently and wash off by splashing water and then patting dry. Needless to say I stopped using that. I'm trying a mixture of castor oil, grape seed oil, evoo, and honey. I'm trying to control breakouts and lighten acne scars....let's see if this works!
