Default How to shop for make up for dark skin

Hi Ladies! Lately I've kinda been interested in experimenting with make up but I have no idea of where to start. I have dark skin so I know it will be a little difficult to find shades that complement my skin. Do you have any suggestions?

I like Destiny Godley. She has several tutorials for brown complexioned ladies.

Sue Devitt and Imam have all shades. Also Lamik is a great one as well. Sue Devitt and Lamik are natural lines.

Hit up some of the high-end makeup counters for a free makeup session. They can help you decide. You don't actually have to buy what they suggest, but you can see what type of makeup they use and what kind actually works with your skin.

I have Sue Devitt foundation and the loose powder. Iman is too red for my skintone. My skin has a yellow undertone and I've tried ALL of the darker shades of Iman and they don't work for me. I used to do more makeup tutorials on Youtube but have been a bit ratchet lately.

I've used the Sue Devitt seaweed pressed powder for years and it's the only thing that comes almost perfect to my time. I don't use foundation only powder. I have red and blue undertones which makes me look like an islander. I used to always mix my makeup but after I started using Sue its great. I know a lot of blk women who wears Sue Devitt and everyone loves it.

I use bare minerals make up. Love it! They have all shades and it blends really well. Check them out at sephora or if you have a bare essentials store

I love Iman's makeup. The liquid foundation blends in flawlessly for me and I only use a drop or 2.
