They're coming along so nicely! All of my attempts to start again have failed but I think it's more so because my mind believes they should already be locked and down my back again lol. I'll revisit the thought in the fall.

Super cute!! I pin my little one's locs as well. She's just 6 (and would rather her locs be wild and free), so I only get one shot to throw a bobby pin or two in. We make it work. If I can get her to sit still - I'll snap a pic. It's been about a month and half since we got them done and it's SO time to get them tightened. I'm working on it.

Sea of Waves -
I wanted to ask you (and anyone else reading) about your retwisting/tightening process ... do you just get the root twisted/tightened or do you do the entire length of the loc? I'm going to take baby girl to a loctician, but I want to have some info at hand before she starts ... You know how some stylists can be. They just get to work, nevermind asking for your input (which is something I will NOT go for). Thanks!

When I retwist I only do the root, but when I visit the salon she would do the whole loc. I don't think it matters much, retwisting the whole loc ensures a uniform look whereas with mine.... My locs looked like twist forever because i didn't palmroll the entire loc. it was just a personal preference not too and ummmm laziness lol
