Hi! I'm REALLY contemplating starting my own microlocs mainly because I simply can't afford sisterlocks. Is there anyone that has done so and if so, what products do you use to maintain and how often do you retighten? Thanks in advance!

I Have very small locs that kind of look like micro/ sister locks and I started them myself. Sometimes they even look like loose natural hair because they are so small but I started mine with the two strand twist method by myself using the loc and twist gel by organic root stimulator.

How long have you had them and how was/ is the locing going so far?

I've had mine for almost 7 months and they locked around month 4 or 5. It's hard to tell when the ends are still curly but my hair has locked. I might just cut the curly ends off but then again I may just let them do their own thing
