the Vent Thread!

Post by Beautifully Human on 25th October 2009, 9:29 pm

We do this on another site and its sometimes the best feeling to let all the things people do to irritate you or try and disrupt your world, out!

I'll start....

Why do some groups of individuals like to act like wounded birds when their ignorance is outted? I will not feel bad for tactfully putting you in your place for saying something so offensive. *side eye*

I think its so funny that you wrote this- I told one of my coworkers about themselves (as tactful as possible- but no matter what it still hurts, I get it) a month ago and he is ridiculously rude to me now. And why the hec do I feel bad??

@dajewel....my sister swears by the perms. You can't tell her that my nieces don't NEED a perm OR that the perm IS NOT making their hair grow. Of course if you straighten it its going to be longer but its growing because thats what hair does but its also damaging it slowly but surely.

UGGH! I just wish I could get through to her.

africanlatina, these girls are beautiful!!!! and perming takes away their beauty!! i don't want these or any other young girls to go through a complex because their hair has been damaged by perming.

I totally agree. They already have a complex about their hair. They just love it when they get their hair permed or flat ironed. While they could do without the process they just love it when she's done and their hair is bone straight and hanging down their back. I make it a point to tell them how beautiful they are everytime I see them.

It's not like you have to hand wash your stuff with the bucket of water and washboard!!!! We have a freakin washer and dryer that we paid good money for... USE IT!!!! Evil or Very Mad Seriously.....

Natural nurse that would be too much like work. My sister and I have this conversation ALL the time about our hunnys. I left town for 2 days a couple of weeks ago and came home to a sink full of dishes. The idea of NOT getting a new cup everytime you get something to drink just doesn't make sense I guess! Most "southern gentlemen" are spoiled by their "southern belle" mommas. I guess it is a part of our culture.

I agree with Tia...thats exactly whats "wrong" with my hunny. His mama is so damn sweet lol. His behind was spoiled. I told him when we first met he used to clean. He said," I know but now I have you." [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Needless to say I threw the closest thing that I could find at him. It was a bedroom slipper.

Well, I'm supposed to be working on applications to start my PhD and finishing my novel, but I'm on here instead (of course) and watching football. Beyond that, if I start to vent, I may not stop!! Haha
