No disrespect but all Shea butter is not created equal. I don't trust the bss Shea butter. Sometimes its not fresh. Camdengrey. Com often has refined Shea butter. I only get my Shea butter from coastalscents.com. You get what you pay for. Amazon, and EBay are of questionable quality also.

I've never had any issues buying from eBay but I order from highly rated sellers and from the same sellers each time. I agree about the bss butter though. I picked some up on a whim and it's quite subpar compared to the butter I get from ebay.

You can also buy Shea butter at any African store. They usually have it. I buy my Shea butter from there all the time.

I used bss Shea butter first, the mustard yellow one. Then I moved on to Amazon.com Shea butter. The only difference was the color and smell. When I ordered from coastalscents.com and got excellent quality fairtrade Shea butter, it knocked me off of my feet. I had some butter with little small crystals in it like sugar crystals, they may have occurred twice in one use. I complained and they sent me replacement butter. The customer service and quality is great. You get what you pay for. They also sell on Amazon.com. Either way you buy It's $8.69lb good luck.

How can you determine the quality?
