Flax seed gel. I went to my local tom thumbs and bought some coconut oil, grapeseed oil etc. I am 10 months natural and just now finally doing the home made thing. I have stopped buying things I can't make at home. It's better quality too. So happy

Have any of you ladies bought supplies from coastal scents? Particularly shea butter and fragrance oils. I was wondering if the frangrance oils ar good quality and true to scent sometimes fragrance oils tend to smell a little off if inferior.

Whipped shea and cocoa butter with avocado, jojoba and evoo... Sadly I now know my hair despises shea butter with a passion.. well either that or EVOO but my money is on the shea butter

I don't think this is considered homemade, but more of a cocktail, as one of the products is a brand.
I mixed down my SheaMoisture CES to make it lighter and smoother by adding AVJ, EVOO and castor oil. I love the consistency it made, and used it for the first time today for my braid out. I won't know the real results until I take them out tomorrow, but it seems like my hair took the mix really well. We shall see...
