Smile Finally got shea butter!

Well, I finally received my shea butter in the mail today. I'm still waiting on my mango butter, jojoba oil and coconut oil (sucks that the seller hasn't shipped this one out yet, it's the main thing I want.) So, I plan on making a mix once I get all the ingredients. I don't really like the smell of the shea butter, it smells a bit too natural for me, lol. So, I'm hoping the Africa's Best Herbal Oil will kill the smell a bit. I have some other oils from years ago that came with an aromatherapy kit, but I'm not exactly sure if it's essential oils or something else, lol....So I'm just going to leave that alone.

Anyway, I can't wait until I try the mix out. I really hope my hair likes it and if not, I'll have homemade body lotion.

Oh, that's exciting. I really want to order some shea butter but I think I'll just wait until I take out my braids in may. Because it'd be pointless to have shea butter just sitting in my cabinet for more than a month.

I ordered mine off of Ebay and I made sure that I got it from a top seller with good reviews. I do believe their shop gave me choice between African butter (yellow) and shea butter (ivory). I wanted the real deal, so I went with ivory. When I received it, it came in a double plastic bag and the smokey, nutty scent was very strong. So, I knew I had exactly what I asked for based on the many youtube videos I've watched and articles I read.

I love ivory Shea butter. It's so much smoother and much lighter than the yellow one.

I haven't tried to yellow one yet, but I agree with the ivory being smooth, a little heavy, but still good.
