Default Henna'ed Twice, but still no color

I really want to see some color change in my hair. I've tried henna twice, kept it on all night, but still see no color effect. Not even the slight tinge of redness in sunlight or bright lights. Am I doing something wrong? I'm trying to color the natural way, but I'm considering the chemical way if something doesn't happen. The first time I mixed henna was with water and lemon juice. The second time, this is how I mixed it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aVl1ij0h_Q&feature=plcp

Looking at your siggy says you BC in August. It's going to take some time before you see results. When I first did mines I didn't see color right away but after being consistent I started to notice some color. Just be patience and you will soon see the results

I agree with clueless, continue to henna and depending how dark your hair is now you will see some red. My hair is dark brown, but light brown right at my temples. After I hennaed I could see the difference right away on my lighter areas, but after the second henna I saw the red from the henna. I have hennaed about a year now and my hair is red all over and I get compliments all the time.

If you want your hair reddish, mix henna with hibiscus. Let it sit for 12 hours for dye release then apply to hair and let sit on your hair for 4-6 hours rinse and you should see a difference.

okay so i really wanna try henna, but i'm terrified of the color change. some people i know have gotten really light brown hair and some have gotten more of a red brown but then some people didn't get any change at all. i just don't want my hair to be super light and then i can't do anything about :/

I usually use the tea bags in the water I use to mix the henna powder. The celestial seasonings tea red zinger has hibiscus in it, so when I'm heating my water, I'll put in some lemon juice, and I'll put in two red zinger tea bags. Once the water is ready its a bright red color, and I'll mix it with the henna powder.

You can buy hibiscus at an Indian grocery store or www.hennasooq.com.
